What style do I work in?

I work primarily in fine-line/illustrative/ornamental styles. However I am very happy to work in a number of other styles, including colour work.

Can I do coverups and reworks?

Yes! I have done lots of coverups and reworks of clients’ current tattoos! I actually really enjoy the satisfaction of turning something you don’t love into a piece that makes you feel happy in your skin! Obviously there are more limitations with coverups, but these can be discussed when enquiring.

How do I price tattoos?

Smaller tattoos are charged by piece which is why it’s so important to get accurate details on size and placements, for larger projects I charge an hourly rate, so once we have discussed the piece I can give you an idea of how long your design might take us.

When will I be able to get booked in?

Accepted Answer

Generally I book around 3 months ahead. For example it’s May when I’m writing this and mostly my bookings are for August at the moment. This wait can be a little longer in busy periods, or a little shorter in quiet periods. I do sometimes get cancellations also, and smaller tattoos I can sometimes fit in sooner where I have small gaps in my diary.

Do I work weekends?

I do work on Saturdays (but not Sundays). However weekend bookings are very popular, especially if I have a month where I’m away for a couple or have plans, so they tend to book a lot further ahead than my weekdays. If you are able to get in for a weekday appointment then we can get you in much sooner.

Can I use numbing cream?

I will never recommend that someone use numbing cream, often times they are applied incorrectly, and lots of brands have begun to do knock offs that I wouldn’t trust to be safe. 
Especially for longer sittings, your numbing cream can wear off and clients find it hurts more after this than it would have as your body hasn’t gotten used to the pain. 
If you decide to use numbing cream then please do your research and patch test before the tattoo day to make sure your skin is happy. I take no responsibility for adverse reactions to numbing cream.

How do I pay on the day?

Cash is preferred, but I can also take a bank transfer if needed.

Can I pay in instalments?

Accepted Answer

I do not take payment via apps like klarna for tattoos, as I don’t believe in putting people into debt for a luxury expense, I’d feel terrible! 
However, if you would like to pay for your tattoo in instalments with me I am happy to do this, as long as the full amount is paid by the time we’re doing the tattoo.

Question 9

How do deposits work if I’m booking multiple sessions?

Accepted Answer

If you book a few sessions, I am more than happy to take 1 deposit which we roll over each time and then only use on the final session. 
If leaving a deposit for every session booked would work better for you, then we can work around that too.
