Do I need to pay a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes - a non-refundable deposit (sometimes called booking fee) is required to secure your appointment. Your deposit comes off the final cost of your tattoo on the day, and it covers the time spent designing and preparing your artwork.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Appointments can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Your deposit can be transferred to a new date if sufficient notice is given.

If you reschedule less than 48 hours from your appointment, your deposit will be retained and a new one will be required for your new booking.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Please eat a good meal beforehand, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area, we have bathroom in which you can change clothes should you wish to do so at the studio.

Please also moisturise and exfoliate your skin in the weeks leading up to your appointment as this makes a huge difference to your tattoo journey.

Medication & Medical Conditions

Accepted Answer

Some medications and medical conditions can affect your tattoo appointment, but in most cases we can still proceed safely. If you have any concerns, please get in touch before booking and always be honest about any medications you are taking so we can advise you appropriately :)

Question 5

Can I bring a friend?

Accepted Answer

We ask clients to attend appointments alone where possible, as we work in an open studio with limited space for additional guests. If you are feeling anxious, we do have a private treatment room available where a plus one can accompany you during your appointment—just let me know in advance.

Question 6

How much will my tattoo cost?

Accepted Answer

The cost of your tattoo depends on the size, placement, level of detail and time required. For larger projects, a day rate is often the most cost-effective option. If you have a budget in mind, let me know and we can work together to create a design that works within it.

Question 7

Can I use numbing cream?

Accepted Answer

Yes, although I recommend only using studio-approved numbing creams. We stock Comfortably Numbed, which has proven effective for many of our clients.

Before using any numbing cream, you should perform a patch test to check for reactions. It’s also important to understand that once the numbing effect wears off, some clients find the tattoo feels more intense than if they hadn’t used numbing cream at all.

For best results, please apply the cream for the length of time as directed per brand before your appointment and arrive with it already on. This allows us to maximise your tattoo time and keeps your appointment running smoothly!

Question 8

Can I see my design before the appointment?

Accepted Answer

Most designs are completed shortly before your appointment. Any small final adjustments can be discussed on the day to ensure you’re completely happy before we begin tattooing.

This is why it is super important to provide me details like size and placement, alongside any references and specific design elements you’d like included, so I can work to the best of my ability in creating a design which you’ll love.

What styles do you specialise in?

Accepted Answer

I specialise in colour tattoos, realism, microrealism, watercolour-inspired designs and botanical pieces, while also offering selected fine-line work.

I do sometimes accept enquiries outside of these styles, however, I will likely refer you to another artist if I believe they would be better suited to meet your request and expectation.
