How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

In the UK you have to be 18 years old to get a tattoo and must be able to produce a valid form of photographic ID to prove this. It is against the law to get a tattoo under the age of 18, even with parental consent.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Each tattoo will have a different price point depending on how long it will take. Some can take an hour or two, others could take a full day or even include more follow up appointments. Once you send me your idea for the tattoo you would like I can confirm the price.

Question 3

Why must I pay a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Your deposit secures your appointment and shows me you're committed to getting tattooed. As a self employed artist, I set aside time especially for you - including design time before the day and any correspondence we have had leading up to the appointment.

Deposits help cover the hours I spend preparing your design and protect against last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

It’s not just about money - it’s about mutual respect. I respect your time, and the deposit helps ensure mine is respected too 💛

The deposit comes off the final cost of your tattoo, and as long as you give me at least 5 days notice to reschedule, it’s still valid!

You can pay the remaining balance on the day of the appointment in cash or via bank transfer.

How do I book an appointment?

If you would like to book a flash piece, you can do so straight from my profile. Simply go to the enquiry section, fill it out and it will allow you to choose the design you're interested in during this process.

If you would like a custom piece you can send an enquiry and I will get back to you asap, and we can chat through your ideas.

Once you're happy you can choose a date and time from my calendar.

When will I get to see my design?

I usually start working on custom designs around 5 days before. I try to send the design to you 24-48hrs before the appointment to leave plenty of time for small edits.

Large edits may require a reschedule which can affect your deposit, so please be clear on your design at the point of booking.

Do you do cover ups?

I will take on cover ups if I feel I am able to achieve something effective without compromising on quality.

I may refer you to have a couple of laser sessions to lighten it up prior to working on it.

Can I use numbing creams?

Accepted Answer

I don’t work with numbing creams, and here’s why:

They can affect your skin – Numbing creams can change the texture of the skin, making it more difficult to tattoo smoothly and accurately. This can impact how the ink settles and heals.

Unpredictable results – Everyone’s skin reacts differently, and if the cream wears off halfway through, it can make the experience more uncomfortable overall.

It’s hard to work with – Some numbing products make the skin slippery or overly dry, which can get in the way of doing clean, detailed work.

I care about your safety – Not all creams are created equal, and I can’t guarantee how your skin will react to products I haven’t applied or supervised.

I know the idea of being numbed can sound reassuring, but I promise I’ll always work gently, check in with you throughout, and make the process as comfortable as possible 💖 Most people find it much more manageable than they expected!

How do I look after my new tattoo?

🧼 CLEANING
Wash your hands first!

Gently wash the tattoo with warm water and unscented soap once or twice a day.

Pat dry with clean kitchen roll – don’t rub.

💧 MOISTURISING
Apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturiser (like Hustle Butter, Aveeno, or Palmers coco butter).

Do this a couple times a day for about 2–3 weeks, or until your tattoo is fully healed.

🚫 DOs & DON’Ts
✅ Keep it clean, lightly moisturised, and let it breathe.

❌ No soaking (baths, swimming) until fully healed.
❌ No picking or scratching – even if it itches!
❌ Avoid direct sun – once healed, use SPF50  or keep it covered
❌ Do not use Bepanthen Sudocrem or Vasoline
